At the inquest today, G. Ben Thompson testified. He said that Howard K. Stern took about four pictures of Daniel after he was pronounced dead and said they "might be worth some money one day".

Stern's attorney accused Thompson of fabricating the story due to the dispute over "Horizons".

The Inquest is adjourned until March 17th during which time, officials will seek testimony from other witness's including Larry Birkhead.

Subpoenas were served to the blog owners of RoseSpeaks by Virgie Arthur’s attorney Neil McCabe. One for each owner. They were served in conjunction with Virgie Arthur vs Howard K. Stern and CBS Studios Inc. and KPRC Houston

In addition to that, Attorney Krista Barth requested permission from the court to be able to appear as an attorney of record in the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas, Houston Division.

*Edit. I’m sorry that I did not read the last document that was posted here more closely. Attorney Barth’s request to appear in Houston was not yet signed by the judge so I removed it.

Also, there is a photo on the above mentioned site that is claimed to be “Einy”, a Virgie Arthur supporter and blogger. That photo is definitely not “Einy” but is a woman that is a Bahamian resident and is said to be a descendant of Norman Rockwell.

The inquest into the death of Daniel Smith reconvened late today. I have have not found any television stations or websites covering but, “TheRestOfTheStory” is on the job and found a Bahamian radio station with some news and she reported the following…

The inquest was pushed back to l:00 p.m. today as per Love 97 radio. Wayne Munroe is what set the time back from l0:00a.m. to l:00 p.m. He was busy with new filings this a.m.

The nannies can not be found despite repeated calls to their attorney Liz Thompson. She has not returned calls and inquiries.

The nurse who is said to have heard Anna Nicole lash out at Howard after Daniel’s death, is rumored to be missing as well as “the nannies”. We will update this page with news as soon as it becomes available.

Update: Surprise witness testified today at the inquest. Ford Shelley testified he believed Daniel Smith could not have been a drug addict because he was “afraid of his own shadow” and “couldn’t even hold his liquor.”

Earlier in the day, the lab director for the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Office testified that a large dose of methadone taken by Daniel Smith was the primary factor behind his death.

“But for the methadone he would not have died,” said Hern, who said he did not believe the young man was a habitual user of the drug.

Under questioning by Director of Public Prosecutions Bernard Turner, Hern said he felt the 20-year-old’s death was the result of an “intentional” overdose because the methadone ingested was such a large amount taken in such a short period of time.

It appeared as if “R” had appointed herself the official spokesperson for the Stern family. The Bonnie Stern post on “R’s” new site spoke of greed, “I am so sorry that so much greed has turned into all of this.” “R” told me that comment was directed at me and I believed her.

A friend asked Bonnie about that and she did not deny that it was directed to me and another person like “R” had stated. In fact she did not deny anything that was to be posted on “R” and “H” site.

Then one of the girls that was a new chat room moderator had sent Bonnie Stern an email trying to explain what happened. She shared this email reply from Bonnie. In part it read,

“I just wrote an email from Howard to “QV, etc and “R”, because this has become so stressful and competitive for everyone and I am really feeling tired and drained from all of this.. I’m trying to run my own businesses (one is a startup) and help at the same time.. It’s become sad for me to see what is going on.”

That further served to confuse me because of the “thank you” note that Bonnie had posted on “R’s” site where my site members were NOT and with no denial as to who she was referring to as “greedy”.

Also there was no “competition” on my part. I was attacked, falsely accused and I defended myself. Period. When I did not obey “R”, it seemed to obliterate all that I had done for Stern. However, my concern was running the site and taking care of the members so they could do what they wanted to do. No one was granted a say so about what I wrote except for extending the courtesy to remove something at the family’s request. Read the rest of this entry »

A. (HKS) Nobody blogs on my behalf in any capacity.

Q. Not even family blogging in any attempt to help you? You don’t have any family helping you in that respect?

A. I don’t know if my family’s ever blogged. I know that I never have, and I know that I’ve never authorized any statements by my family on blogs.

Part V

When I look back through all the emails and the reactions of the loyal members, I feel great sadness. They were caught in the middle of some kind of shakedown and I did not know what to do about it. I received so many emails wanting to know what went on.

It was awhile before I could even put into words the betrayal that I felt but it was not only for me but for the people that had worked so hard and showed their dedication in so many ways.

I asked some of the members if they were ever told “thank you” when they sent their research to whomever and they said no.

I tried to explain that false accusations were made and I felt that their work had been taken for granted and was being used to put a feather in someone else’s cap. All the discoveries so far had pointed in that direction. Read the rest of this entry »

Before you read this next section, I would like to make a statement about how this article was written. The facts in this article are supported by emails and old postings from this site’s former days. I am trying to share as many of the facts so that you can see them with your own eyes. Some things, of course, come from memory. I received an email the other day from a person that was involved in this story about a minor mistake concerning the method in which we communicated once. No problem, I changed it. So there you have it. Some have called this story into question, however I have the evidence to prove facts that are written here. I know its a bit tedious to read, but it will clear up a lot of questions that many people have had for a long time.

I received that email from “R” that practically ordering me to take an article down, in no polite terms. I was stunned and did not have time to reply or ask questions because six minutes later, I received an email from her that said, “I can’t be traced back to your blog via O’Quinn’s threat to sue anyone that libels Virgie….. I need you and “H” go in and take down all of my writings and posts… I am NOT going to be sued and I need that all taken down ASAP”. Read the rest of this entry »

The members of this site were proving that they could really dig up some good and relevant information. Several of them coordinated their efforts in the chat room together and through emails, deciding who would work on what issue.

The major question was what to do with the information that everyone was gathering. We all thought that it would be valuable for Howard in supporting what he was doing lawsuit-wise.

A woman joined the site that I’ll call “R”. She had previously written a letter in support of Howard K. Stern to a Bahamian newspaper and they published it. She became a respected member of this site and a frequent contributor.

On March 25th, I received an email from my moderator “H”. She wrote that “R” had received an email from Howard’s Florida Attorney, Krista Barth, asking for assistance in going through public records for the cases. “H” also included a copy of an email that “R” had sent to a couple of other members asking “who can be trusted in the chat room”? I thought that was a strange question, given that we were all on the same team at that point. I also thought it was unusual that an attorney like Krista Barth would contact a blogger like “R” for assistance, but I ignored it as I ignored many things that I should have paid attention to.
