Things have finally settled down at least for awhile in the Anna Nicole Smith chronicle. The message boards that are active more or less seem to be rehashing the same old news and the same old arguments. Save for a stray bit of drama or attempts to sensationalize trivial matters.
The announcement from Howardsville that IP numbers were being collected and bloggers who slander Howard K Stern will be held accountable, seemed to make people wonder just who is watching what hen house. It was the beginning of a cooling off period that is now seen internet wide. A professional journalist abruptly stopped his coverage of this story and many familiar nick names are not heard from anymore.
Then the first subpoena for an internet blogger was served and revealed, although not exactly in that order. It seemed to send even more of a hush though out our communities. The bloggers themselves that are so aptly called the “Sterniods” and the “Antinoids” on the large celeb gossip site TMZ have shrunk in numbers as well. By the way, whomever invented those monikers was spot on. My observation in this story is that either you are for Howard K. or against him. I can see three trains of thought most prevalent out there. Pro-Virgie, pro Howard or anti-Howard.
So, what was to come reaching into the depths of the Anna Nicole internet neighborhood, was quite poetic. It was “who” in particular, ended up with the subpoenas after IP threats and the creation of the “wall of shame”. After the publication of the story of this website and what was going on behind the scenes it should be no surprise.
Anyone that was worried and thought that their first amendment rights were in danger by the likes of Neil McCabe or L. Lin Wood can relax. Blog on. What lawyers are looking for are not bloggers but people that have taken their involvement in this case to the depths of inviting actionable consequences. There are just a small handful, but they exist.
The lack of activity has been nice for me. I got mine and some family member’s income taxes filed and a couple of projects done around the house. My point is, if you are tired of the story, by all means step back. I have to an extent. Just be sure to check in every once in awhile so we don’t lose touch. And it goes without saying that we will gather for activities and happenings worthy of comment. But if you have fear that you are going to attract a subpoena for simply expressing your opinion, it’s not going to happen.

One of our members has made available the latest, 02-15-2008, filings in the civil case of Virgie Arthur vs Howard K. Stern, CBS Studios Inc. and KPRC Houston. The subject matter is an interview that the late Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern gave to CBS owned “Entertainment Tonight”, which is a celebrity news television show. The documents relate to Howard K. Stern’s assertion that Texas should not be the jurisdiction for the lawsuit. Thank you for sharing the documents “D”.

Public records filed February 11th 2008 revealed that a moderator from the website RoseSpeaks was served with a subpoena by attorneys for Virgie Arthur that has been been objected to by Howard K. Stern. The documents were filed in the court case of Virgie Arthur vs Howard K. Stern, CBS Studios and KPRC Houston. Grounds stated for the objection are that notice was not given to Stern concerning the intention to serve the subpoena and that discovery has not yet started in the case. The same discovery argument was stated in Sterns objection to subpoenas served to Rose and Ken Turner who are the owners of the website RoseSpeaks.
Also posted for the same lawsuit were notices that subpoenas were withdrawn for RoseSpeaks two owners and the moderator without prejudice until after the conclusion of the inquest into the death of Daniel Wayne Smith, Virgie Arthur’s grandson. The inquest is scheduled to resume on March 17th.

We ended our last article with the discovery that the email address Bonnie Stern offered to my moderators belonged to a couple who openly practice the BDSM lifestyle. That would be “R” and her husband.
The researchers had not wanted “R” handling their work. Ms. Stern was well aware of that but offered the email address anyway. When asked, she said that it belonged to “the liaison”. It is safe to say that Bonnie was not above a bit of trickery and deception to keep the flow of information going to “R” no matter what.

What a year this has been. One that could go down in history as one of the most complicated life and death stories of our generation. I blame it on the press. And greed. Without it, we would probably not all be here.
We greeted a beautiful baby girl only to have her happy and adoring brother Daniel die three days after her birth. Then its almost as if Anna Nicole died of a broken heart. It is said that she wanted to stay for Dannielynn but worried about Daniels soul being lost and lonely. Then, no matter how it came about, God made the decision for her.
I was driving down the road when I heard. Where were you? How did you feel? Why did you come here? How much longer will you stay? There is not much more to say or do. Just comments and arguing when court papers are published and hearings come and go. And watching Dannielynn grow. Where would we be now if they both would have lived? If they had lived we wouldn’t be……
The man who designed Anna Nicole’s commitment ceremony dress and his partner have a new tell all book ready for purchase. Anna is pictured below in the gown with Howard K. Stern and “Big Moe” Brighthaupt.
In this book you see Anna Nicole as funny, beautiful, sexy, naughty, a wonderful mother, a true confidant, but most of all…a friend. Pol’ and Patrik were privy to private thoughts which included: Was Larry Birkhead bi-sexual? Did she really love Howard K. Stern? What sort of antics did her hated mother Virgie try to pull?
Larry Birkhead told the “New York Daily News” yesterday: “They are absolutely crazy, their stories are false, and they will be sued.”
It also looks like if the promo is any indication of what is in the book, Virgie Arthur may also have some objections.
Stern’s Motion to Quash Blogger Subpoenas
Howard K Stern has filed a motion to quash the subpoenas that were served on the husband and wife blogging team of Rose Speaks. This was done in the lawsuit, Virgie Arthur vs Howard K. Stern and CBS Studios and KPRC Houston
Stern bases his motion on Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 26(d) stating that discovery has not yet started in this matter.

I would like to address everyone that comments on this site. In the past week, I have had to ban two people for comments containing character assassination, and this morning there was a threat against another poster. This site welcomes opinions from both sides, but from now on, I am going to have to delete comments and ban people that will not follow the rules.
When in discussion with an opposing view point, please just discuss your opinion and do not call each other names or swear at them or accuse them of anything. I have been guilty of the same on other sites as well but I am not going to argue with people anymore. I’ll just state my case and move on. I know it is hard to do but things seem to be getting out of hand everywhere.
Please help me keep this site a pleasant place to discuss the many facets of the life and death of Anna Nicole. Thank you….QV
